Louisiana Teaching Fellows is calling on outstanding individuals to become teachers in Greater Baton Rouge and Shreveport’s highest need schools, as part of Louisiana’s Recovery School District. Louisiana Teaching Fellows focuses on recruiting leaders who will have a lasting impact on student achievement. Toward this end, we are seeking outstanding and diverse candidates with a relentless drive to make a difference, a dedication to setting only the highest expectations for themselves and their students, and the ability to overcome challenges.

After intensive preparation over the summer, Louisiana Teaching Fellows will begin teaching full-time in the fall of 2010 while pursuing their teacher certification.

We welcome professionals from all fields, as well as recent college graduates.

No previous education coursework or experience is necessary. A Bachelor’s degree is required.
